Phry is a very gifted and talented musician and teacher. He met me where I was at, made me feel comfortable with things I struggled with, and offered me very unique suggestions and tips that I had never gotten before in my 15+ years of guitar lessons.

I was incredibly fortunate to have Phry as my guitar teacher for three years—with weekly lessons—during the coronavirus pandemic. It was a period that deeply shaped me both as a person and as a guitarist, and one from which I still benefit today. Phry’s approach to teaching the guitar is unique, driven by genuine enthusiasm and a meticulous attention to detail. He devotes plenty of time to his students, addresses their individual needs, and actively fosters their growth. You truly learn and improve here—provided, of course, that you put what you’ve learned into practice and study independently between lessons, following Phry’s methodology. I highly recommend him as a teacher; that time spent with him turned me into a real fan.

I am a beginner, and Phry is my first guitar teacher. I have been taking lessons with him for a few months now. The lessons are tailored to my learning pace. Furthermore, I always receive concrete answers to my questions on various topics, accompanied by examples and recommendations on how to apply or practice them in real-world playing. In addition, I am provided with various resources to help me prepare for the next lesson. Phry is patient, friendly, and approachable. I am very satisfied with the lessons and highly recommend him as a guitar teacher.

Phry is a truly great teacher. He is passionate about what he does, and it is clear that he is genuinely interested in his students' learning. 5 Stars because of: - the concept: It's not just about learning something, it's also about how to reach your goals and getting there. Learning difficult stuff means you need to see the road. Phry enables you to get where you want. - versatility: Phry teaches you what you want, blues, rock, heavy, funk, Hendrix, Solo, Rhythm, Acoustic-Guitar and so on and so forth. You also learn how get any sound you want from a Les Paul. - patience: You'll get there, no matter how long it takes. In case you'd get stuck Phry finds another way to practice also the little things that finally make a big difference. I started to take lessons again 3 years ago after I had had a 30-years-long break from lessons with Andreas Becker (R.I.P.), and I am still super happy visiting Phry every week to learn something new and to get my butt kicked.

Phry is a really great teacher! He’s patient and kind and it’s easy to feel relaxed talking to him. He’s a great guy and knows his stuff. Would definitely recommend!
